Apparently this guy isn’t to happy about the new Massachusetts against texting and driving. To prove this, he writes a 500 word article, along with several pictures…while driving.
Continue on for the article.

The state of massachusetts recently enacteD a new law making it illegal to t text and drive.to show you why this is an unnecessary and pointless law, % am writing this column entirely while driving.
Current ly % am driving on route 117, a twisty massachusts road packed with cars whizzing in the opposite direction. It is a drizzly evening, so visibility is at a minimum.also, I have my two kids in the backseat.
Now, I’ve for it easier than most. I’m using an Android phone with thee game-changing Swype software … which is practically like thinking words and having them appear. I’m not hunched over one of those tiny Coleridgeer keyboards that can only be operated by midgets or babies.
Whips! Almost hit a jogger.
Key me also take a few pictures so you can see that I an actually writing this while driving.

I don’t understand how they are going to enforce this new law.how are going to determine who is texting as opposed to looking up a contact on their phone, our playing a few rounds of online poker (which I have also done)? If I’m working on a novel, is that illegal? Cos I’ve for a great idea for a screenplay and a lot of commuting time.
What if you are toying in someones phone number? Is that illegal? how about if you are just hitting the SEND button to send a text that you composed earlier, on the toilet? Is reading someone welders texts illegal? How about reading texts from last night? What if you are SUBMITTING a new article to texts from last night? is that a text msg?
What if your send text msgs.but only using numbers? Technically it’s not text, right? Gownsa cop going to prove on a court of law that your can’t use Mouse code to communicate with your cellphone?

next theyll tell me that taking PICTURES is ilegal also
I think the law is incredible outdated.who texts anymore? Nowadays we’ve moved on to much more complicated and dangerous activities like composing music and writing php code. You think texting is dangerous, try configuring MyDQL replication across multiple servers while driving. And yet,i don’t see any “No MySQL Replicating While Driving” laws on the books. How are we b going to protect ourselves against these murderous sysadmins swerving across the highway like maniacs?
Ah, a stoplight. That’s easier.
They could just ban using phones in cars, but that would be banning cellphones altogether. What use is a cellphone if you.re not driving? Urn like buying a GPS and then only using it to go to the kitchen.
Speaking of GPSesss, if you are inputting coordinates into your GPS unit, is that texting and driving? How about setting the clock in your car? How about writing a friggin number down on a piece of paper? Isn’t that fat more dangerous than texting while diving? Shouldn’t we outlaw sucking paper and pencils?
I have now driven 15 miles our of nt way in order up finish this article.there is no sense in going home to finish or up on the keyboard, WHEN I HAVE A PERFECTLY FUNCTIONAL KEYBOARD RIGHT HERR THAT I AM NO LINGER FREE TO USE.
I am …oh crap.
