After a snowstorm hit the Northeast this weekend 789,535 in Connecticut were left without power. Connecticut Light & Power spokesman Jeffrey Butler reported the damage sustained worse than Hurricane Irene, which left 687,000 powerless earlier this year.
Crews are coming from across North America to help restore power to Connecticut residents.
“We are encouraging customers to be prepared for lengthy outages of week or more. Many will be inside that and we will update those projections as we begin to restore areas,” CL & P’s Butler said.
