The University of Oregon recently opened the new Matthew Knight Arena, named after the late son of Nike co-founder Phil Knight.
The state-of-the-art arena embodies the look and feel of Oregon, which has been defined by it’s collection of stand-out Nike jerseys. The hardwood of the court is dressed with custom graphics.
TVA architects of Portland and Ellerbe Becket of Kansas City joined forces to design the event center. The job has been reported to cost about $227 million.
The arena even comes with the “Duck Truck,” a pimped out Oregon flat bed truck.
