Take a look at Subaru’s new WRX STI S206, a 316 horsepower addition to the performance S series.
Subaru’s S series performance cars have been turning heads for some time now, so when the rumor mill started churning out information about a new addition, it’s fairly easy to understand why so much attention was garnered. The WRX STI S206 has everything one would expect from Subaru’s S class and more, including a 2.5 liter four cylinder engine with a fairly impressive 316 horsepower.
The Subaru WRX STI S206 definitely puts the performance in performance class. The vehicle offers a flexible draw stiffener, as well as a flexible front strut tower bar. Bilstein shocks and Michelin Pilot Super Sport Tires help to ensure smooth sailing on virtually any road, while turbo and ECU features offer more than enough power to satisfy. Of course, the vehicle offers other tweaks over its predecessors as well, including a carbon fiber rear wing and roof.
Much to the dismay of stateside drivers, however, the web may be as close as most of us ever get to the vehicle. Not only have exclusive versions of the car already sold out, but even the basic model is only being offered in Japan. There is little doubt that the Subaru WRX STI S206 brings the power, but for anyone not living in the Land of the Rising Sun, experiencing it firsthand remains nothing more than a pipe dream.
