iPad Mini Rendering by Technobuffalo.com
This week rumors have been surfacing about Apple possibly releasing a smaller sized version of the iPad. This mini iPad would be similar in nature to Amazon’s Kindle Fire, a portable e-reader sized tablet that is more affordable than larger sized units.
Given the new iPad’s record breaking sales, why not create more models? A smaller tablet by Apple might cost between $250-300, which is much more affordable than a $499+ new iPad. For now, Apple is still offering the iPad 2 at $399 to compete with cheaper tablets. Below is a size comparison of the regular iPad and the Kindle Fire, which could be similar to the mini iPad’s dimensions.
